With scuff patches on the seat and cuffs, these pants are made for getting into scrapes, as well as out of them. Vaude even use Cordura reinforcements at the seat and knees to provide extra protection. Wearing a harness or crampons is likely and the trousers are designed as such. . Most will have a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) so you won't get caught out if the weather shifts. Often with ankle zips to fit over ski or mountaineering boots these pants are the real deal. It has that 2 tone Alpine design, with reinforced knees, inner ankles and seat. It has zips at the ankles to allow adjustment over 3 season mountain boots or ski boots. It uses Tactel, Teflon and Nylon to provide tough abrasion resistance and has water repelling properties. These pants look great but have enough tech to help you perform better in the mountains.
